Framing Two Jerseys in One Frame (Photos and Video)

One Request we often get from people who see our Jersey Framing work is whether we can Frame two separate jerseys into a single Frame.

The short answer is Yes.

In this post, I'd like to take time to share this fun project that we had an opportunity to work on for one of our customers.

This project actually started out with a single, Toby Greene, jersey that our customer sent us, along with 4 cards and with the request for us to make a nameplate.

Two Jerseys are better than One

Shortly after we received the first jersey, our customer asked us to pause the project because he thought he had a good chance to get a second jersey. He got it, sent it to us and so we were able to resume with the Framing Project with the following two jerseys:

Design Iterations

Jersey Framing Design is a lot like any other industrial design, there's a lot that goes into it. We often go through 4-5 iterations of design around our jerseys and extra memorabilia before we are happy with it. Here's the design we chose for these two jerseys in one frame project.

Cutting the Final Mats using our Computerized Mat Cutter

Once we are happy with the design, the next step is to cut the suede mat and accent mat, along with the custom openings for the jerseys and for the cards and plaque. This is one of my favorite parts of the process.

Putting it all together

This next step is fun but time-consuming because of all the pieces needed to be incorporated along with the jerseys. Cards especially are tough to incorporate because of the support structures we have to build around the openings of the mats, but when it's all finished, cards bring an amazing touch to the finished frame. Here's the final product, ready for the customer to see for the first time.

The Customer Unveiling

Much of what we do is about the overall customer "experience," this includes the unveiling either at our store in San Diego for our local customers, or a video unveiling for our remote customers.

All the work we put into every Frame is all worth it when we see the first impressions of our customers as we unveil the finished product.

Here's our customer posing next to his jerseys. He absolutely loved it and since then, we have done multiple Framing projects for him.
